About the Artists
Cassidy-Ann Netser, an emerging artist from Iqaluit, NU, utilizes printmaking, sewing, and embroidery to explore her experiences as an Inuk and to share Inuit culture through her art. Her work celebrates the beauty and resilience of Arctic landscapes, daily life, and traditional practices, offering vibrant insightsNetser into Inuit identity and community. Currently studying pre-law at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS, Netser sees art as a narrative tool, bridging her cultural heritage with contemporary perspectives. Her pieces are deeply personal, reflecting her commitment to environmental activism and honoring the land and traditions of Nunavut. Through her artistic journey and community engagement, Netser is crafting a path that intertwines heritage and self-expression, bringing the voice of her community into the broader art world.
My name is Darian Rabesca and I am from Behchoko but I reside in Yellowknife. I completed the Early Learning Childcare diploma from Aurora college and I currently work for Dechinta as a Land-Based Educator support for children and youth. I have a passion for illustrating art and developing designs. My art connects with healing beliefs and core values, and it inspires me to cultivate new skills and interests.
